Description
StarTech.com Gigabit Ethernet to LC multimode fibre media converter, in black, transforms an Ethernet connection into a fibre optic signal. It reaches a data transfer rate of 1000 Mbit/s and is compatible with 10, 100 and 1000 Mbit/s Ethernet LAN speeds under the Gigabit Ethernet standard. Its input interface supports 1000Base-T, 100Base-TX and 10Base-T, while the output interface works with 1000Base-LX and 1000Base-SX over multimode fibre. It covers a maximum transfer distance of 550 m with a wavelength of 850 nm and operates in full duplex mode. It includes Jumbo Frames and Auto MDI/MDI-X support, and complies with the IEEE 802.3, 802.3ab, 802.3u and 802.3z standards. Its LED indicators show activity, link and power, and its casing is steel. The converter weighs 201 g and measures 70 x 26 x 94 mm, with a mean time between failures of 50000 h.
