Description
The StarTech.com MCM1110SMLC40 media converter in its black, single-mode variant converts copper signals to fibre optic using a wavelength of 1310 nm and a maximum transfer distance of 40000 metres. It supports speeds of 10, 100 and 1000 Mbit/s over Fast Ethernet and Gigabit interfaces, with a maximum data transfer rate of 2000 Mbit/s and support for jumbo frames of up to 9000 bytes. It includes auto-negotiation, automatic MDI/MDI-X detection and link fault pass-through (LFP), operating in full or half duplex mode. It works with IEEE 802.3, 802.3ab, 802.3u and 802.3z standards, offers a mean time between failures of 50000 hours and does not support flow control.
