The Allied Telesis AT-x930-28GTX is a managed L3 layer switch with 24 Gigabit Ethernet (10/100/1000) RJ-45 ports and 4 SFP+ slots supporting 10G. Its grey colour and dimensions of 440 x 44 x 420 mm (width x height x depth) fit into rack installations where high-performance switching is required, and its weight of 5.1 kg confirms a robust construction. It incorporates ARP inspection, routing with 2000 entries and link aggregation to optimise traffic between network segments. Traffic classification, QoS support and the spanning tree protocol allow critical applications to be prioritised and loops to be avoided. It supports VLAN configuration to segment the network into independent logical domains. Its web-based management and MIB support facilitate remote monitoring and control of the device.
