The Synology RX1217 expansion unit, in 2U rack format and black colour, arrives without drives installed and with 0 TB total capacity, ready for you to add up to 12 2.5-inch or 3.5-inch drives with Serial ATA III interface. It supports a maximum storage capacity of 168 TB, combining HDD and SSD, and features hot-swap bays for replacing drives without interrupting service. Its transfer speed reaches 6 Gbit/s and it connects via InfiniBand, with no USB option, with three fans generating a noise level of 54.6 dB. Designed to expand the capacity of your Synology RS3617xs, it includes FCC Class A, CE Class A and BSMI Class A certifications for professional use.
