Description
Connect your laptop to PCI Express cards via Thunderbolt 3 with the StarTech.com Expansion Chassis Box, an accessory that extends the computer's functionality without sacrificing mobility. The black enclosure combines aluminium and steel in a unit measuring 142 x 82 x 280 mm and weighing 1.6 kg, keeping it stable on the desk. It features two Thunderbolt 3 ports, one DisplayPort port and a Thunderbolt 3 host interface to link to the computer via a wired connection. The unit runs with a 0.5 m cable and offers a data transfer rate of 40 Gbit/s, enough to work with peripherals and external displays. Its built-in 6 cm sleeve bearing fan generates a maximum airflow of 14.06 cfm with a noise level of 24.55 dB. The rubber foot prevents movement while the power LED indicates that the chassis is active.
