Connect two network devices with the STARTECH.COM Twinax Direct Attach cable, a passive SFP+ to SFP+ DAC cable with male connectors that operates at a data transfer rate of 10000 Mbit/s. Its 0.5 m cable is suitable for linking switches, routers or servers within the same rack without adding unnecessary metres of cabling. The polyvinyl chloride (PVC) jacket protects the conductors and the assembly has a black colour and a weight of 57 g, so it barely adds any load to the connections. As it is compatible with InfiniBand and with Plug and Play, you recognise the link as soon as you insert it and start transmitting traffic. It supports operating temperatures of 0 to 70 °C and storage temperatures of -40 to 80 °C, so it performs well both in an air-conditioned technical room and in a cabinet with thermal variations.
