Description
StarTech.com 8-port PCI Express serial adapter card with PCIe host interface and RS-232 output. It offers 8 DB9 serial ports, RTS/CTS and XON/XOFF flow control, and a transmission speed of up to 921.6 Kbit/s. It incorporates the ASMedia ASM1083 and System Base SB16C1058PCI chipsets, with a 256 B FIFO buffer and support for 5, 6, 7 or 8 data bits, even, odd or no parity, and 1, 1.5 or 2 stop bits. It is designed for internal mounting and supports a maximum cable length of 0.5 m. It operates in an operating temperature range of 0 to 55 °C and a relative humidity of 5 to 95%, with a mean time between failures of 160013 hours. It is yellow in colour and measures 16 x 120 x 105 mm, with a weight of 74 g. It is compatible with Windows and Linux.
