Description
The StarTech.com 2-port serial controller card adds two RS-232 connections to a computer with a PCIe slot, in green and weighing 56 g. Its dimensions of 63 x 15 x 75 mm (width x height x depth) correspond to an internal format that is installed inside the casing. The PCIe 1.1 standard and the Asix AX99100 chipset manage the traffic of both serial outputs. It reaches a transmission speed of 921.6 Kbit/s and supports data bit configurations of 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9, with stop bits of 1, 1.5 and 2. Flow control can be RTS/CTS or XON/XOFF, and the 256 B FIFO buffer helps to organise the data output. It supports even, odd, marked, spaced and no parity, which covers different industrial peripherals. Its mean time between failures is 222366 h and it operates between -10 and 80 °C, with a relative humidity of 5 to 85%.
