The StarTech.com SFP+ module in silver is a 10GBASE-LR single mode transceiver compatible with Cisco Meraki MA-SFP-10GB-LR, designed for fibre optic links of up to 10 km. It works over single mode fibre with LC connector and 1310 nm wavelength, under the IEEE 802.3ae standard, and reaches a maximum transfer speed of 10,000 Mbit/s in full duplex mode. It incorporates Digital Diagnostics Monitoring, so you can monitor the link status, and supports hot-swap for replacing it without switching off the equipment. Its aluminium housing, with dimensions of 13.9 x 12.6 x 58.4 mm and a weight of 22 g, dissipates heat well and consumes only 1.2 W. It supports an operating relative humidity range of 5 to 95% and a storage temperature of -40 to 85 °C. It has CE and RoHS conformity certificates, and its mean time between failures is 2,104,865 hours.
