Description
Connect a keyboard with a PS/2 connector to an available USB A port with the StarTech.com PS/2 MiniDIN to USB adapter, in purple. This adapter converts the keyboard signal so you can continue using peripherals with a PS/2 interface on equipment that no longer includes that type of port. Connector 1 is USB A male, while connector 2 is PS/2 female, so the USB end plugs into the computer and the PS/2 receives the keyboard cable. Its dimensions are 15 x 7 x 50 mm (width x height x depth) and its weight is 9 g, so it barely adds any bulk to the cable assembly. It has a RoHS certificate of compliance. The adapter is useful for reusing PS/2 keyboards in current configurations with USB A ports.
