Description
Turn an M.2 SSD into an external drive with this StarTech adapter, an external enclosure for a solid state drive in black with a compact finish. It will take M.2 drives of 30, 42, 60 and 80 mm in length, always a single drive, and supports the M.2 interface via its female Micro-USB B connector with USB connection and USB 3.2 Gen 1 version, powered through the USB port itself. Its Asmedia ASM1153 chipset and UASP support allow you to reach a data transfer speed of 6 Gbit/s in your file copies. The casing, made of aluminium, protects the drive during transport and daily use, and the unit weighs 50 g with dimensions of 35 x 15 x 100 mm (width x height x depth). A practical solution to reuse that SSD you no longer use inside your computer, now as a portable drive connected to a single USB port.
