Description
The StarTech.com network adapter converts a straight-through Cat6 Ethernet connection into a crossover one, a useful solution for linking equipment without the need to change the cabling. It features an RJ-45 male connector at one end and an RJ-45 female connector at the other, so you can insert it between two runs of already installed UTP cable. Its polyvinyl chloride (PVC) jacket protects the inside of the adapter against the wear of daily use. This red model is easy to locate among the rest of the cables in the installation. With dimensions of 15 x 15 x 45 mm (width x height x depth) and a weight of 12 g, it takes up very little space and adds no appreciable bulk to the run. The adapter is CE and REACH certified, as well as having RoHS certificates of compliance. It connects two network segments without tools or additional configurations.
