The StarTech.com SFP transceiver module is a copper transceiver that operates over an SFP interface and reaches a maximum data transfer rate of 1000 Mbit/s. It is designed for Gigabit links over copper cabling with 1000BASE technology, and covers a maximum transfer distance of 100 m. Its compatibility with Dell EMC's SFP-1G-T model makes it a direct replacement part for equipment from that brand, and it supports hot swapping. It features digital diagnostics monitoring, so you can check the link status from the device itself. It measures 58.4 x 12.6 x 13.9 mm (width x height x depth) and weighs 30 g, with a silver colour that fits the front panel of a switch or router. Its declared mean time between failures is 4655371 hours. It is certified CE, FCC, UL and REACH, and has a RoHS certificate of compliance.
