RJ45COUPLER
Description
STARTECH.COM's inline coupler for Cat5 UTP Ethernet cable comes in beige and allows two network runs to be joined via its two RJ-45 female connectors. Its coupler format connects two ends of UTP cable without the need for a crimping tool, so that a male patch lead enters on each side and the signal continues on its way. The female/female configuration is useful for extending a run that has already been laid or for repairing a damaged cable inside a trunking or a junction box. As it is a passive splice, it does not alter the logical path of the link and integrates into voice and data installations over twisted pair. The assembly complies with the RoHS directive, so it is certified as respecting the restrictions on hazardous substances applicable to this type of electronic component.
