The Lexar NM990 SSD in its 2 TB version adopts the M.2 2280 form factor and the PCI Express 5.0 NVMe x4 interface, offering read speeds of up to 14000 MB/s and write speeds of 10000 MB/s. With random performance of 2000000 IOPS in reads and 1400000 IOPS in writes, it is aimed at desktop PCs, laptops or gaming consoles that demand high data transfer rates. Its durability is backed by a TBW rating of 1500 and a mean time between failures of 1,500,000 hours, while maintaining a lightweight design of just 6 grams. This drive does not include hardware encryption, so data protection relies on external software.
