Description
StarTech.com Cat5e Ethernet UTP modular inline couplers allow two network runs to be joined without the need for tools or re-cabling. Each unit features two RJ-45 female connectors, so a pre-terminated patch cable simply needs to be inserted at each end and the signal continues on its way. This format is practical for repairing a damaged patch cable, extending a short run or resolving a temporary installation in an office or communications room. The set comes in beige, a neutral tone that goes unnoticed on the wall or alongside the rest of the installation. The housing protects the joining point and keeps the contact between both connectors secure. Each coupler weighs barely 110 g, so the complete pack adds no appreciable load to the run. It is supplied in a pack of ten units, designed for anyone who needs several splice points at once.
