The Equip 221171 gender changer in silver allows you to join two network patch leads with an RJ-45 connector. Its two ports are female and straight type, so you connect a cable at each end to extend the run or link two already terminated cables. It is designed for Cat6a cables, so it suits network installations working with this category. Thanks to its plug-and-play function, you simply plug in the connectors and it is ready to use, with no additional configuration. It is a compact adapter: it measures 15.8 x 30.4 x 17.8 mm (width x height x depth) and weighs 9 g, so it takes up very little space and adds no appreciable load to the cabling. It complies with RoHS certification regarding restricted substances. It is practical to carry in the case alongside the rest of your network accessories and to resolve a one-off connection.
