Description
This StarTech.com serial-to-Ethernet adapter converts two DB-9 RS-232 ports into an RJ-45 interface to integrate serial devices into an IP LAN, featuring a black metal housing and wall or DIN rail mounting. Compliant with IEEE 802.3i and 802.3u standards, it offers auto-negotiation, automatic MDI/MDI-X, and full duplex support for stable bidirectional communication. It includes ESD protection of 15 kV (air) and 8 kV (contact), plus configurable parity, data bits, stop bits, and flow control options such as RTS/CTS or XON/XOFF. Designed for industrial or office environments, this serial device server enables remote management of legacy equipment over the network without requiring additional drivers.
