The EQUIP 121179 gender changer for RJ-45 cable, in silver, allows you to join two network patch leads with an RJ-45 connector. Its two ports are female and feature gold-plated contacts, which helps to maintain signal quality at each connection. It is designed for Cat6 category cables, so you can splice sections without giving up the performance of the cabling. The housing is made of synthetic ABS, a lightweight material that protects the inside of the adapter. With dimensions of 30.4 x 17.8 x 15.8 mm (width x height x depth), it takes up very little space and is comfortable to carry in a backpack or pocket.
