It supports Fast Ethernet and Gigabit Ethernet, reaches a data transfer rate of 1000 Mbit/s and operates at a frequency of 250 MHz to cover the usual demands of a home or office network. The connector's protective boot helps prevent snags when passing through trunking or behind furniture. It is compatible with PoE++ (4PPoE) and supports a Power over Ethernet budget of 100 W, so it can power devices such as access points or cameras without the need for an additional power socket.
