Description
Connect equipment with a DB9 serial port to an Ethernet network using this StarTech.com adapter, a 1-port remote serial device server with a black metal housing and 802.3af PoE compatibility. The RJ45 LAN IP to DB9 RS232 converter features female DB-25S and RJ-45 connectors, along with electrostatic discharge protection of up to 15 kV in air and 8 kV via contact. It supports IEEE 802.3af, IEEE 802.3i, and IEEE 802.3u network standards, with auto-negotiation, auto MDI/MDI-X, and full duplex, reaching a transmission speed of 921.6 Kbit/s. It offers optional RTS/CTS or XON/XOFF flow control, 7 or 8 data bits, 1 or 2 stop bits, and configurable parity between even, mark, none, or space.
