Description
Converts network signals between copper and fibre optic with the TRENDNET TFC-1000S20 media converter, a grey device that works over single-mode fibre. Its input interface is 1000Base-T and its output is 1000Base-LX, with an SC fibre optic connector and an RJ-45 Ethernet port for the copper side. It reaches a transfer rate of 2000 Mbit/s and complies with the IEEE 802.3ab and IEEE 802.3z standards within Gigabit Ethernet. It operates with a wavelength of 1310 nm and covers a maximum transfer distance of 20000 m, which makes it suitable for long links between network segments. It supports full and half duplex, so it adapts to different link configurations. The connection is wired and the device includes LED indicators to monitor the transmission status.
