Description
The StarTech.com MCMGBSCSM10 media converter, in black, connects copper and fibre optic segments in network installations. It converts the signal between the 10Base-T, 100Base-TX and 1000Base-T input interfaces and the 100Base-LX output over single-mode fibre, with a wavelength of 1310 nm. It reaches data transfer speeds of 10, 100 and 1000 Mbit/s, so it serves both Fast Ethernet and Gigabit Ethernet. Its full-duplex system and store-and-forward function manage traffic reliably, while auto MDI/MDI-X support simplifies cabling. It supports Jumbo frames of up to 9000 and complies with the IEEE 802.1Q, IEEE 802.3, IEEE 802.3ab, IEEE 802.3u and IEEE 802.3x standards. The maximum transfer distance is 10000 m, with a mean time between failures of 50000 h. The device weighs 196 g and its measurements are 105 x 26 x 70 mm (width x height x depth).
