Description
Connects a USB-equipped computer to a fibre optic network with the StarTech.com USB 3.0 to fibre converter adapter, in black and weighing 100 g. Its dimensions are 55 x 20 x 260 mm (width x height x depth) and it includes a 0.195 m cable. The fibre optic connector is SC and it offers a fibre channel port with fibre interface and USB host, via cable connection. It reaches a maximum data transfer rate of 1000 Mbit/s and a maximum operating distance of 550 m. It works with 1000BASE-SX ethernet cabling fibre technology and complies with IEEE 802.1Q and IEEE 802.3z network standards, with VLAN tagging. It incorporates LED indicators for activity, link and power, and is Plug and Play compatible. It includes the Realtek RTL8153-VB-CG and Microsemi VSC8211XVW chipset, and supports USB bus power.
