Description
The StarTech.com modular converter adapter turns a DB9 connection into an RJ45 socket, so you can integrate devices with a serial port into structured network cabling installations. This black model has a female DB-9 connector on one end and a female RJ-45 connector on the other, so the patch cable fits directly into both sides without the need for soldering or additional tools. Its compact dimensions, measuring 34 x 16 x 85 mm (width x height x depth), allow it to be installed in tight spaces inside communications cabinets or junction boxes. The assembly weighs barely 18 g, so it adds no appreciable load to existing cabling or strain on the connectors. The adapter is CE and REACH certified, as well as having a RoHS certificate of compliance, which supports its use in environments where regulatory compliance is required.
