Description
Connects a fast Ethernet network with a multimode fibre optic run using the StarTech.com media converter, with ST connector for the fibre link. Its 10Base-T input and 100Base-FX output interface covers transfer speeds of 10 and 100 Mbit/s, with a maximum data rate of 200 Mbit/s in full or half duplex mode. The cable connection is handled by an RJ-45 Ethernet port and a single fibre channel, and it incorporates a DC input jack for power. The Auto MDI/MDI-X function automatically adjusts the wiring, and Plug and Play support simplifies commissioning. It emits at a wavelength of 1310 nm and reaches a maximum transfer distance of 2000 m over multimode fibre. The unit, black in colour and weighing 600 g, integrates into network installations where copper and fibre need to be linked.
