Description
The Lindy 46340 fibre optic cable is a 1 m violet patch cable designed to link equipment in multimode fibre installations. Its two ends are fitted with male LC connectors, so you can connect it directly to compatible ports and modules without intermediate adapters. The fibre is OM4 type, a multimode category that performs well over short distances within racks and communications rooms. Its full duplex construction allows simultaneous bidirectional transmission, which is practical when you need to link two points with traffic in both directions. The core has a diameter of 50 µm and the cladding 125 µm, usual measurements in this type of multimode patch cable. With a length of just 1 m, it is useful for joining nearby ports together and keeping the cabling tidy without leaving spare loops. It is a simple piece to install in network environments where OM4 fibre and LC connectors are the priority.
