Description
Connects network equipment with the EQUIP SC/SC fibre optic cable, an orange patch cord with a 1 m cable designed for short links between switches and hubs. It is an OM1 multimode fibre with multimode structure, 62.5 µm core and 125 µm cladding, suitable for data transmissions in classic fibre optic installations. Its two SC connectors are male, which allows direct coupling into the corresponding ports. The cable offers full bidirectional or full duplex operation, so that transmission and reception are carried out simultaneously. It has an insertion loss of 0.5 dB, a value worth taking into account when calculating the power budget of the installation. The jacket is made of halogen-free material (LSZH), which is useful in enclosed spaces where the emission of gases in the event of fire is a factor to consider.
