Description
Connects serial port devices to a computer via USB with the StarTech.com serial cable, a 1 m solution in black. This 1 m black cable features a USB Type-A connector and a DB-9 connector, both male and with a straight form factor, making it easy to link computers and serial peripherals. Its FTDI FT232R chipset allows it to reach a transmission speed of 921.6 Kbit/s and a bandwidth of 480 MB/s. It supports data bit configurations of 7 and 8, stop bits of 1 and 2, and parity modes such as even, odd, mark, space and none. The thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) jacket protects the wiring in daily use, and its 256 B PEPS buffer helps manage data transmission. It offers compatibility with Linux operating systems and weighs 55 g, a useful figure if you need to calculate the whole setup.
