The black StarTech.com network patch cable is a 10 m Cat6 cable with male RJ-45 connectors at both ends. It is designed for 10GBase-T installations, as it achieves a data transfer rate of 10000 Mbit/s and a frequency of 650 MHz. Its conductor is copper and the cable gauge is 24 AWG, with U/UTP (UTP) shielding. The jacket is halogen-free (LSZH), a useful detail when cabling runs through spaces where smoke emission should be reduced. It supports Power over Ethernet (PoE), so it can power network devices through the patch cable itself. It features a connector boot and strain relief, and its installation is plug and play.
