The Samsung 870 EVO is a 4 TB SSD with a 2.5-inch form factor, V-NAND memory type and a black finish. It features a Serial ATA III interface with a read speed of up to 560 MB/s and a data transfer rate of 6 Gbit/s, designed for use as a component in PCs and laptops. It supports hardware encryption using 256-bit AES algorithms, as well as features such as S.M.A.R.T. and TRIM, and has a TBW rating of 2400 and a mean time between failures of 1,500,000 hours. It is compatible with Windows operating systems in their Vista, 7, 8 and 10 versions, with Windows Server 2003 and 2003 x64, as well as with Linux and macOS.
