Description
The QNAP QSW-M2108-2S is a managed Layer L2 switch in grey, measuring 290 x 42.5 x 127 mm and weighing 1.12 kg. It features eight 2.5G copper Ethernet ports with RJ-45 switching, compatible with speeds of 100, 1000 and 2500 Mbps, and adds two slots for SFP+ modules with 10G support. It also has an RJ-45 console port for configuration. Management is done via web and supports quality of service (QoS), tagged VLAN and spanning tree protocol. Flow control, auto-negotiation and full duplex mode facilitate traffic between connected devices, while copper cabling covers 100BASE-T and 1000BASE-T and fibre optics work with 1000BASE-LX and 1000BASE-SX. With this combination of multigigabit copper ports and fibre links, the device is aimed at expanding the network of an office or a small communications cabinet.
