Description
The Samsung 990 PRO is a 4 TB SSD with M.2 form factor and PCI Express 4.0 interface, which uses its four lanes to deliver very high performance in desktop computers. It reaches a read speed of 7450 MB/s and a write speed of 6900 MB/s, with V-NAND MLC memory and compatibility with NVMe 2.0. In random 4 KB operations it achieves 1400000 IOPS read and 1550000 IOPS write, which speeds up the loading of demanding systems and applications. It incorporates hardware encryption and features such as S.M.A.R.T. and TRIM support, as well as DevSleep to reduce consumption when the computer is not in use. Its mean time between failures is 1500000 hours and it is designed to be heat resistant even during prolonged sessions. With dimensions of 80 x 22 x 2.3 mm (width x height x depth) and a weight of 9 g, it installs directly into the motherboard without taking up additional bays.
