Description
The Samsung 990 PRO 1 TB is an M.2 SSD with PCI Express 4.0 interface and NVMe 2.0 support, designed for PC systems. It reaches a read speed of 7450 MB/s and a write speed of 6900 MB/s, with random performance of 1200000 IOPS read and 1550000 IOPS write on 4KB blocks. It uses V-NAND MLC memory and uses four PCI Express x4 data lanes to make the most of the bus. It includes hardware encryption with supported 256-bit AES security algorithms, as well as S.M.A.R.T. and TRIM support, and its DevSleep function helps reduce consumption when the system is not in use. With a mean time between failures of 1500000 h, its dimensions are 80 x 22 x 2.3 mm (width x height x depth) and a weight of 9 g, a compact format that fits in the M.2 slot on the motherboard.
