Description
Connect serial port devices to your equipment with this StarTech.com USB to serial adapter cable, which converts a USB Type-A output into a male DB-9 connector. The 2 m cable provides enough reach to get to the printer, module or control equipment without forcing the connections, and its black colour fits into any installation. It features the FTDI FT232R chipset, common for this type of conversion, and supports transmission speeds of up to 921.6 Kbit/s. It allows you to configure the data bits to 7 or 8, the stop bits to 1 or 2 and different parity modes, so you can adjust the communication to the protocol of the connected device. The connectors are straight and the USB end is male, as is the DB-9, designed to plug directly into the device's port. It works on Windows, macOS and Linux, so you won't have to change adapters depending on the system you use.
