Description
Connect two network cables with this StarTech.com Keystone coupler keystone jack, a compact black piece designed to join lengths of Cat5 UTP Ethernet cable. It features an RJ-45 female connector at each end, so it receives the male termination of both patch leads and maintains link continuity without the need for tools. As it is a female-to-female coupler, it serves both to extend an existing run and to splice two short cables together and make use of them at the same point in the installation. Its Keystone format allows it to be housed in faceplates, frames and bezels compatible with this standard, so it integrates easily into wall outlets or patch panels. The black body fits discreet installations and goes unnoticed in home and office setups where a clean result is sought.
