Description
The StarTech.com Mini DisplayPort to DisplayPort adapter cable, in its 1.8 m cable and black colour variant, connects a device with Mini DisplayPort output to a monitor or projector with DisplayPort input. Its two male connectors are straight, with gold-plated contacts to promote stable transmission, and the ABS coating protects the housings. The mylar aluminium foil shielding and its 19 conductors of 32 AWG gauge help maintain signal integrity. It supports a maximum resolution of 3840 x 2400 pixels and a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz, with additional compatibility with 2560 x 1600 (WQXGA), and offers a bandwidth of 21600 MB/s. It includes DisplayPort Content Protection (DPCP) and HDCP, and features Multi-Stream Transport (MST) technology for daisy-chaining multiple displays. The assembly weighs 69 g, something to bear in mind if you are going to move it frequently between workstations.
