The StarTech.com multimode duplex fibre patch cable comes in orange and measures 2 m, a length that fits rack installations and connections between nearby equipment. It features two male LC connectors that work in full duplex, so that transmission and reception are carried out over fibre pairs in both directions. It is OM2 optical fibre with a multimode structure, 50 µm core and 125 µm cladding, designed for short-distance links in data centres and communications cabinets. It supports data transfer speeds of up to 10 Gbit/s, making it suitable for connecting switches and high-capacity patch cords. The jacket is made from halogen-free material, a common choice in environments where gas emissions must be limited.
