Description
The 1 m StarTech.com serial extension cable connects devices with male and female DB-9 ports while maintaining signal continuity. It is a 1 m cable with a male DB-9 connector on one end and a female DB-9 connector on the other, both straight and with nickel-plated contacts to promote stable transmission. Its 28 AWG conductor and polyvinyl chloride (PVC) jacket protect the wiring in fixed installations, while the aluminium mylar foil shielding helps reduce external interference. It weighs 81 g and has a black colour that blends easily into equipment and rack installations. It is a practical solution for extending the distance between a device and its serial peripheral without losing compatibility with standard DB-9 connections.
