The Zyxel USG Flex 500 firewall is a rack-mountable security device with a 1U form factor, measuring 300 x 44 x 188 mm (width x height x depth) and weighing 1.65 kg. It offers a firewall throughput of 2.3 Gbit/s and a VPN throughput of 0.81 Gbit/s, with capacity for 300 VPN tunnels and 500 VPN connections. It also supports up to 150 simultaneous VPN/SSL connections, 64 VLANs and supports IPSEC and SSL/TLS security algorithms, as well as IKEv2, IPSec, SSL and L2TP/IPSec VPN. It incorporates URL filtering and features seven LAN Ethernet ports (RJ-45), two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports, one SFP module slot and one console port. Its mean time between failures is 529688 h, with a noise level of 41.5 dB and a heat dissipation of 82.23 BTU/h. It has an integrated fan to keep the equipment cool.
