Description
The StarTech.com QSFP+ module is a Cisco-compatible multimode fibre optic transceiver that achieves a maximum transfer rate of 40000 Mbit/s under 40GBASE technology. It incorporates an MPO fibre optic connector and features a QSFP+ interface type, allowing it to be integrated into equipment with that format. With a wavelength of 850 nm, it offers a maximum transfer distance of 100 m over multimode fibre. It is compatible with Cisco SFP-40G-SR4-S products and with the Cisco brand, so it fits into network deployments that require this standard. The Digital Diagnostics Monitoring (DDM) function facilitates monitoring of link performance, and its hot-swap design allows it to be replaced without shutting down the equipment. It comes in a silver colour and measures 122 x 8.5 x 18.6 mm (width x height x depth), with a weight of 37.5 g.
