Description
Converts a Gigabit Ethernet connection into a multimode fibre link with the STARTECH.COM media converter. This device reaches a maximum data transfer rate of 2000 Mbit/s and works with Gigabit Ethernet, so you can link network spans over long distances without losing throughput. Its fibre optic connector is SC and the maximum transfer distance reaches 550 m over multimode fibre, with a wavelength of 850 nm. It includes an RJ-45 Ethernet LAN port and Auto MDI/MDI-X function, and supports both full duplex and half duplex. The housing is steel in black, with dimensions of 90 x 25 x 150 mm and a weight of 562 g, and its mean time between failures is 65000 h. Connectivity is wired and it is powered by an external power adapter with an output current of 1.6 A and a type M plug.
