Description
The Lindy 42889 serial cable, in silver, connects a USB type A port to a DB-9 connector and is designed to link devices with that type of serial port. Both ends are male, so it fits the corresponding sockets without the need for additional adapters. With a 0.6 m cable, it is suitable for short installations where both devices are close to each other. This connection format is commonly used to configure network equipment, measuring instruments and other devices that still use a serial interface. The short length helps to keep cabling tidy at the workstation and avoids unnecessary excess runs that get in the way. Its lightweight construction, weighing 80 g, barely adds any load to the connections and makes it easy to transport along with the rest of the equipment. The silver finish makes it quick to identify among other cables in the installation.
