Description
Connect network devices with the Ewent IM1042 cable, a Cat6 patch lead with U/UTP shielding that is suitable for linking equipment within the same installation. Its black colour and 0.25 m cable length make it practical for short runs where surplus metres should not be allowed to accumulate. It features two male RJ-45 connectors, one at each end, with gold-plated contacts to promote conductivity. The conductor is copper and the jacket is made of polyvinyl chloride, PVC, which gives the assembly flexibility. The cable gauge is AWG 30/7, a useful detail when looking for a thin and manageable patch lead. In addition, each connector has a protective sleeve, a detail that helps preserve the retaining clip against snagging when passing through trunking or behind equipment.
