Description
The D-Link DWL-8620AP access point comes in white, with dimensions of 220 x 47 x 220 mm and a weight of 790 g, designed to deploy wifi coverage in professional environments. It operates in the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands, and reaches a maximum data transfer speed of 2533 Mbit/s, with 800 Mbit/s in the 2.4 GHz band and 1733 Mbit/s in the 5 GHz band. It incorporates MIMO, automatic channel selection, band steering and airtime fairness (ATF) to distribute performance among connected clients. Fast roaming allows devices to move from one access point to another without dropping the session, which is useful in offices and spaces with multiple coverage cells. Its Ethernet LAN connectivity supports speeds of 10, 100 and 1000 Mbit/s, and offers quality of service (QoS) support together with Wi-Fi Multimedia (WMM/WME) to prioritise sensitive traffic, such as voice or video.
