Description
The StarTech.com SFP+ module is an SR-type transceiver designed for multimode fibre links over LC connectors. It offers a maximum data transfer rate of 10000 Mbit/s and reaches a maximum transfer distance of 300 m, with a wavelength of 850 nm and full-duplex operation. It complies with the IEEE 802.3ae network standard and supports multimode fibre (MMF), as well as featuring Digital Diagnostics Monitoring (DDM) to monitor the link. Its aluminium housing, in silver, has dimensions of 13.9 x 12.6 x 54 mm (width x height x depth) and a weight of 18 g, with a power consumption of 1.2 W. The hot-swap format allows it to be inserted or removed without switching off the equipment, and its mean time between failures reaches 1967709 h. It supports an operating relative humidity range of 5 - 95% and has CE and RoHS conformity certificates.
