Description
Connects network equipment with the StarTech.com multimode fibre optic cable, an LC/UPC to LC/UPC patch cord with male connectors at both ends and full bidirectional operation. Its OM4 fibre, with a 50 µm core and 125 µm cladding, supports transmissions of up to 100 Gbit/s and wavelengths of 850 nm, making it suitable for high-capacity data links. The 20 m cable offers sufficient margin to carry the signal between racks, switches or patch panels within the same room. Its halogen-free jacket (LSZH) reduces the emission of smoke and toxic gases in the event of fire, a relevant detail in enclosed installations. The outer sheath features an aqua colour that visually identifies OM4 fibre and helps distinguish it from other types in the cabling. It supports operating and storage temperatures between -20 and 60 °C, so it adapts to varied technical environments.
