Description
The Vertiv Avocent ACS8008SAC-404 is a console server in rack-mount format, in black and weighing 3.4 kg, designed to centralise the management of equipment in network environments. It features eight serial ports and one RJ-45 console port, as well as two RJ-45 Ethernet LAN ports, eight USB 2.0 ports and two slots for SFP modules, which makes it easy to connect different devices. Its power output uses a C13 coupler. Management is carried out via CLI, HTTP/HTTPS and SNMP protocols, with web-based administration and zero-touch provisioning (ZTP), and it includes a temperature sensor to monitor operating conditions. In terms of security it supports LOCAL, LDAP, RADIUS, TACACS+ authentication and one-time passwords (OTP), applies IP address filtering and supports algorithms such as 3DES, 128, 192 and 256-bit AES and FIPS 140-2.
