Description
Connects the parallel port of your motherboard to the exterior using the StarTech.com adapter, a part that bridges the distance between the internal header and the rear panel of the computer. Connector 1 is a 25-pin D-Sub female DB-25, while connector 2 is a 26-pin IDC for a motherboard header, also female, so it fits the internal header and provides the serial port at the back of the case. Its 0.4 m cable is long enough to reach from the motherboard to the expansion slot without straining the run. The assembly weighs 45 g and comes in grey, a neutral tone that goes unnoticed in any build. As it is low profile, the bracket integrates well into compact cases and systems with little clearance next to the motherboard. RoHS certification confirms that it complies with European regulations on hazardous substances in electrical equipment.
