Description
Connect two network devices at 10 Gbps with the StarTech.com Twinax Direct-Attach cable, a copper SFP+ to SFP+ patch cable designed for direct links between HPE J9281B-compatible equipment. Its 1 m cable offers a data transfer rate of 10000 Mbit/s, enough to connect switches, servers and network cards within the same rack without adding latency. Both ends are male SFP+ connectors, so the connection is made by simply plugging each terminal into its port. The system is plug and play, so the link is operational as soon as the connectors are inserted, with no additional configuration steps. The PVC jacket protects the copper conductor in the day-to-day life of the communications cabinet, and the assembly weighs 72 g, a handy figure for calculating the load on trays and rails. It comes in black, a discreet tone that blends in with the rest of the structured cabling.
